Established by the Novo Nordisk Foundation in 2018, BII promotes collaborative, interdisciplinary, research-based innovation in Human Health, Planetary Health, Quantum and deeptech innovation, that helps build viable start-up companies to ensure that such innovations become widely available for the benefit of people and society.
As a Student Assistant in the Quantum team, you will work in close collaboration with the Director and Principal, supporting the BII Quantum team across a wide range of tasks. The role offers opportunities to engage with BII’s startups and projects, as well as with BII external stakeholders.
You will have the chance to learn from hands-on experience within a vibrant culture of venture creation and startups on multifaceted tasks, including:
- Assisting with coordination and execution of pitch sessions between investors and BII startups, using BII’s investor platform, and planning and coordination within the Quantum Team.
- Supporting the Quantum Team with ad hoc administrative tasks, including assistance with communications to internal and external stakeholders (investor newsletter, e-mail outreach, PowerPoint presentations, etc.).
- Collecting and maintaining a contact list of relevant quantum stakeholders. Responsible for structured investor relationship management, including systematic tracking of interactions & follow-ups.
Professional and Personal Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Is a 2nd or 3rd-year Bachelor's student in International Business, Business administration or similar (with a focus on innovation, business development, or entrepreneurship).
- Has strong communication skills and is proficient in verbal and written English.
- Has skills in producing presentation material
- Likes to plan and execute on events, including associated outreach activities and hands-on practicalities.
- Is service-minded, analytical, pays attention to details, honors deadlines, and works in a structured manner with high-quality standards.
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with multiple key stakeholders and several projects in parallel.
- Is willing to take on administrative tasks.
The working hours are 10-20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate studies and exams.
