Established by the Novo Nordisk Foundation in 2018, BII promotes collaborative, interdisciplinary, research-based innovation in the Life Sciences, Quantum Science, and Deep Tech and helps build viable start-up companies to ensure that such innovations become widely available for the benefit of people and society.
As a law student at BII, you will become part of a passionate Legal & IP team of 6 dedicated colleagues, who take pride in providing a high-quality legal and IP support while being collaborative, open-minded and pragmatic. In this role, you will have the opportunity to get close to and support highly innovative and engaged people with passion for science and work on a variety of legal and IP tasks and projects, including contracts (i.e. confidentiality agreements, material transfer agreements, simple consultancy agreements etc.) get introduced to providing legal advice, contract management, archiving etc. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and are eager to make a real difference, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing support for the Legal & IP team
- Help out with the review and negotiation of (low risk) contracts.
- Contract management, archiving, signing etc.
- Template updates
Professional & Personal Qualifications
We seek a colleague who is driven by purpose and motivated to contribute to a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing science to life. Ideally, you bring the following competencies and skills:
- You are enrolled in a legal education (university level) and have completed at least the first 4 semesters.
- You are motivated to learn and be challenged both as a lawyer and as an individual.
- You like working with people.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment, where focus and priorities can change quickly.
- Proficiency in English at a professional level, both written and spoken.
The working hours are 10-20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate studies and exams.
