Gubra is looking for a Laboratory Technician (Laborant) to support our analytical LC-MS platform working with in-house drug discovery projects in bioanalysis and peptide characterization.
You will join the DMPK and bioanalysis team. We are currently four scientists and two laboratory technicians. We work in a welcoming environment built on trust, helpfulness, and a shared desire to break new ground. We work with generating data to support our Drug Discovery projects related to DMPK and bioanalysis to secure selection of the best peptide candidate for drug development. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to the team. You will work closely together with scientists and fellow laboratory technicians.
You have a strong background in high resolution mass spectrometry, and LC-HR-MS analysis of peptides. You have hands-on experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of LC-HR-MS equipment. You are self-motivated, willing to learn new things, and can navigate and collaborate in an energetic and dynamic organization. You take ownership for delivering high quality data, are organized and thrive both independently and in a dynamic team. As a Laboratory Technician in our DMPK and bioanalysis group, you will support our hypothesis-driven approach to advancing science in a strong collaborative environment delivering consistently high quality data.
Your tasks as Laboratory Technician are varied but include
- Working with and maintenance of several ESI-LC-MS(MS) instruments (e.g. Thermo Exploris120, Sciex 6500+, Thermo Altis, Vanquish Tandem UPLC etc.).
- Specific focus on maintenance and operation of high-resolution MS equipment
- Characterization and analysis of peptides by LC-HR-MS
- In vitro assays to assess peptide stability in various matrices
- Smart-lab: working with our computational biologists and other lab technicians and scientists in- and outside your group to locate repetitive work processes that can be optimized or automated.
- Development of new ESI-UPLC-MS(MS) methods
- Data processing and documentation.
Professional qualifications
- You hold a certified laboratory technician diploma or similar.
- You have solid work experience and good technical knowledge with ESI-LC-MS and UPLC instrumentation.
- You have experience with LC-MS data analysis and automation.
- You are committed to high quality data handling and reporting of data.
- You have a genuine interest in peptide (bio)analyses.
- You have good communication skills in both Danish and English.
Personal qualifications
- You are a true team player and eager to contribute to all workflows in the group.
- Keen to take on responsibility within your area of expertise.
- Curious by nature, motivated by data and not afraid of technical challenges.
- Proactive and able to initiate, focus and deliver on tasks and projects.
- Able to navigate and collaborate in an energetic and rapidly changing organization.

About Gubra
Gubra is a disease-agnostic techbio company specialized in peptide-based drug discovery and preclinical contract research services striving for excellence at all levels. We insist on doing things efficiently – and often differently - to reach the results we aim for. Our vision is to become leaders in the path towards a more sustainable and healthier world. We do that by facilitating the discovery of new medicine, and by acting and inspiring others to fight the ongoing climate and biodiversity crises.
Gubra’s activities are focused on the early stages of drug development and are organised in two main highly synergistic business areas: Biotech and CRO Services. We generate our revenue by performing research for life science companies as well as by partnering projects from our discovery and development pipeline.
Our therapeutic focus is within metabolic and fibrotic diseases, and we specialize in in vivo pharmacology, ex vivo assays, drug profiling, histology, stereology and whole brain and organ imaging. In addition, we offer a full palette of advanced transcriptomics. Our ML/AI-driven peptide drug discovery platform streaMLine enables us to rapidly develop a peptide hit into a non-clinical candidate ready for development. Through a constant focus on high quality, scientific excellence, speed, and solid teamwork we have established ourselves as a highly professional and competent partner in the market.
People are our greatest asset, and our team consists of around 300 employees. The mix of people from different cultures and educational backgrounds combined with our entrepreneurial mindset have greatly impacted our working environment, which is characterized by entrepreneurial drive, scientific curiosity, and teamwork – we join forces!
