Research Assistant in CRISPR Microbiome company
Are you a skilled scientist early in your career with a passion for bacterial strain engineering and an interest in supporting projects across our research organization? Would you like to be part of a diverse, passionate, and fun team at SNIPR Biome that develops new medicines within infectious and metabolic diseases? If yes, you have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic international team at SNIPR Biome situated in the Innovation District Copenhagen, Denmark (www.sniprbiome.com).
Company Description
SNIPR Biome is a Danish clinical-stage biotech company pioneering CRISPR-based medicines to treat and prevent human diseases. We leverage CRISPR-Cas technology for precision killing of harmful bacteria and targeted gene modification.
Our validated CRISPR and delivery platforms are agnostic to any antibiotic resistance carried by the bacteria, making them well-suited to address the global antimicrobial resistance (AMR) crisis. We are currently applying this technology to target critical pathogens and antimicrobial resistances identified as top priorities by WHO and CDC.
SNIPR Biome was the first company to orally dose humans with a CRISPR therapeutic and the first company to have been granted US and European patents for the use of CRISPR for targeting microbiomes. SNIPR Biome are backed by leading investors, including Lundbeck Foundation BioCapital, SPRIN-D, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, North-East Family Office and Wellington Partners.
Our team of 30+ scientists from top academic institutions and biotech companies worldwide is highly diverse in gender, nationality, age, and education. Together, we drive a robust AMR pipeline of several CRISPR-based experimental medicines from early preclinical to Phase 2, supported by strong IP and advanced AI- and robotics-assisted R&D labs.
