The role
Join us as our lead lab technician and help build the biotechnology that transforms how critical raw materials are sourced and recirculated.
We build on science, and that means a high-performing laboratory is critical to our R&D speed. As our lab technician, you will be instrumental in building the lab’s infrastructure and establishing the workflows that drive experimental progress. You will have agency over the lab's design and direct impact in what we develop.
What you will do:
- Maintain lab organization, inventory, and equipment. Prepare media, handle cultures (including non-model organisms), and ensure materials are ready when needed
- Work independently on routine tasks while collaborating on experimental work
- Manage orders, vendor relationships, and chemical safety protocols
- Develop and optimize laboratory workflows: we want your input on making things better
- Document work properly
- Assist with fermentation reactors and associated equipment
- Troubleshoot when things do not work
- Grow with us — we will hand off more complex tasks as you level up
You probably have:
- Laboratory technician education or Bachelor's degree with lab experience
- Strong background in microbiology or molecular biology
- Comfortable with data analysis (at least the basics)
- Good English skills. Danish is helpful but not required
- Ideally 3-4 years of hands-on lab experience
- Experience with lab organization and safety is valuable
- Working with non-model organisms is a definite plus
- Most important: collaborative mindset and motivation to contribute wherever needed
Sounds like you?
- You are organized and notice when things need attention before they become problems
- You work well independently and take initiative
- You are practical and solution-oriented
- You are comfortable with some ambiguity: we are building processes, not following established ones
- You are interested in sustainable biotechnology
Why join us:
- Your work directly impacts progress
- Real opportunities to develop technically as we grow
- You will work with people who are genuinely passionate about what they are building
- Competitive salary + the satisfaction of building something from scratch
- We listen; your input matters
- We value independence and initiative as much as teamwork
We are a startup, so you can expect variety, some ambiguity, and plenty of room to shape how we do things. We rely on people who are pragmatic, creative, and efficient.
If you have skills you think are relevant but do not check every box, please apply anyway. We care more about attitude and aptitude than perfect credentials.
