Your new position
As an IT Operations Engineer, you will blend Microsoft 365 and identity administration with core infrastructure operations. You will operate and support collaboration, authentication, and on‑prem/cloud services that enable colleagues every day. The role suits someone who enjoys automation, problem‑solving, and cross‑team collaboration in a regulated environment. This position is a fixed term position.
We offer exciting responsibilities:
- Provides day-to-day operational support of overall infrastructure including physical and virtual servers, storage, and cloud platforms.
- Administer and enhance Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
- Operate and improve identity and access in Entra ID, including lifecycle, Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, and SSO integrations.
- Automate operations using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, Azure Automation, and Logic Apps to increase reliability and efficiency.
- Support core infrastructure (Windows Server/virtualization, storage, backups) and implement new systems and enhancements.
- Respond to escalations and incidents; act as an escalation point for the IT Service Desk and collaborate on cross‑functional projects.
- Document and monitor compliance with GxP and security policies, embedding a security‑first approach in daily operations.
- Performing all job duties with a security-first and best practices mindset.
Your profile
You are a collaborative engineer who thrives in a hybrid on‑prem/cloud environment, balances continuous improvements with hands‑on operations, and communicates clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Curiosity, ownership, and consistency in following best practices are essential.
- Hands‑on experience operating Microsoft 365 and Entra ID in production environments.
- Strong PowerShell skills; experience with automation via Microsoft Graph API, Azure Automation, and Logic Apps.
- 5+ years of Active Directory administration and operation, including DNS, DHCP, GPO, and Sites and Services.
- Knowledge of core networking (DNS, DHCP, NAT, firewalls) and modern authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a security‑first mindset; able to work effectively in a tiered permissions environment.
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., GxP) preferred.

You will work closely with colleagues in IT Security, Service Desk, Business Applications, and Data/AI to plan and execute upgrades, migrations, and service improvements.
