Your new position
Join a leading biotech company bonding to discover, design, and develop innovative peptide-based medicines. We are looking for a Senior Laboratory Technician eager to embark on a new career challenge. In this role, you will work together with other technicians and scientists in the Molecular Pharmacology department to develop and run cell-based assays, as well as supporting the continuous optimization of our screening workflows. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to the advancement of our projects by delivering high-quality in vitro data.

- Conducting in vitro assays to assess the efficacy of new peptide drug candidates
- Planning and execution of practical laboratory work
- Processing instrument data in specialized software and databases
- Documentation of laboratory work in the electronic laboratory notebook system
- Development and optimization of new protocols & assays, in collaboration with departmental colleagues
- Responsibilities for maintenance of the lab and lab equipment
- Contributing to the development and improvement of laboratory workflows
- Good collaboration both within and across departments to ensure pace, quality, and exchange of experimental methods and ideas
Your profile
A mindset aligned with the Zealand values, with curiosity to acquire new skills and learn new methods. Brings a positive attitude and drive, and works both independently and collaboratively. Communicates clearly and has a good understanding of written and spoken English (company language).
Further, you have:
- Education as laboratory technologist, laboratory technician, medical laboratory scientist or similar with at least 5 years of experience with laboratory work
- Hands-on experience with cultivation of mammalian cells
- Proficiency in cell-based assays, including intracellular signaling assays
- Experience with automation and high throughput screening
- Strong documentation skills and proficiency with data analysis in Excel, GraphPad Prism or similar software
- Experience with recombinant protein expression and analysis, protein and peptide binding assays, and molecular biology techniques such as RNA and DNA isolation, cloning, PCR and qPCR is an advantage

The Molecular Pharmacology department is a dynamic and social environment with a collaborative spirit, comprising 12 scientists and 7 laboratory technicians organized into two teams to ensure accessible managerial support and scientific guidance. The open position is in our In vitro profiling and signaling team, focused on screening and characterization of drug–target interaction, signaling, and function. We all work together and use a range of molecular biology methodologies, biochemical and cellular assays to support identification and optimization of drug candidates, and are involved in the identification and maturation of new projects.
