About Hemab
Hemab Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company committed to transforming care for people with serious bleeding and thrombotic disorders. At Hemab, we're redefining how bleeding and thrombotic disorders are understood and treated. Our goal: become the ultimate clotting company through patient-centric innovation and engagement. With headquarters in Boston and Copenhagen, we cultivate an agile environment where curiosity, creativity, and data-driven insights fuel success.
We seek an innovative colleague who will challenge conventional thinking about how biotech companies advocate for patients and drive systemic change for underserved communities.
The Opportunity – HMB-002 and von Willebrand Disease
HMB-002 is a novel antibody therapy in development for von Willebrand disease (VWD) — the most common bleeding disorder in the world, affecting patients worldwide yet still lacking convenient, consistent, and accessible treatment options. This program is advancing in the clinic with the goal of bringing a first-in-class subcutaneous therapy to patients who have long waited for better solutions.
The Asset Lead for HMB-002 will have the unique opportunity to shape this program from its current early stage through late-stage clinical development and beyond — helping define how Hemab will change the treatment landscape for people with VWD.
Role Purpose
The Asset Lead for HMB-002 is a pivotal role as the strategic integrator and champion for the program, accountable for translating scientific opportunity into clinical and commercial reality. The AL ensures cross-functional alignment, drives execution, and maximizes value through patient impact, in line with corporate objectives.
The AL owns the asset’s Integrated Development Plan (IDP), chairs the Asset Core Team, sets the asset ambition and drives execution of strategy through to major milestones. They will represent HMB-002 at the Management Team (MT) and Board of Directors (BoD) as required, ensuring risks, decisions, actions, and opportunities are clearly articulated.
While the strategic direction, goals, and resources are set by the Management Team (MT), the AL and Asset Team are empowered to develop and deliver strategies within that frame — shaping the “how” of execution, surfacing opportunities, and proactively identifying risks or trade-offs for MT consideration.
This role requires a leader who can balance enterprise alignment with asset-level initiative, managing the natural tension between corporate strategy and bottom-up program/indication strategy.
