About Mycoverse
Mycoverse develops biological crop protection products for agriculture. We are a deeptech platform company, which discovers, develops and sells sustainable biological products to replace chemical pesticides and other agricultural inputs.
We are seeking a Fermentation Scientist to drive our upstream process development for our first product, advancing from lab-scale to pilot-scale production in close collaboration with our technical team and external CMOs.
Role Description
As a Fermentation Scientist, you will play a key role in designing, executing, and optimizing fungal fermentation processes. You will work hands-on in the lab and at pilot scale, applying your expertise to develop robust, scalable bioprocesses that move our products closer to market.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and optimizing fungal fermentation processes from lab to pilot scale.
- Performing data analysis, interpreting results, and providing actionable insights.
- Collaborating with cross-functional team members to achieve technical milestones.
- Maintaining fermentation and laboratory equipment.
- Preparing technical reports, documentation, and protocols.
- Supporting efficient technology transfer and collaboration with CMOs and other partners.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Required:
- Expertise in fermentation process development, optimization, and scale-up.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation related to fermentation.
- Strong knowledge of fungal bioprocess engineering and physiology.
- Hands-on experience with scale-up and technology transfer.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ph.D. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Nice to have:
- Experience with downstream processing.
- Experience with molecular biology techniques.
