We’re looking for a sharp, curious ESG & Impact Analyst to help shape how we measure what matters.
As a venture house spanning evergreen investment company PSV Foundry and the two individual VC funds PSV Tech and PSV Hafnium, we bring two decades of experience in VC fund building, startup investing and portfolio management to the table. Born out of DTU – The Technical University of Denmark – we’re not here to box-tick compliance. We’re all in on the one-to-one correlation between impact and business success. In this role, you’ll be key to making that connection real.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who wants to work at the frontier of impact, tech, and venture. You’ll get a front-row seat to a vibrant community of founders and ecosystem players, and the chance to leave your fingerprints on something that’s built to scale.
What you’ll (actually) be doing
You’ll be working alongside our Head of ESG & Impact, directly supporting our mission to make ESG and Impact data useful, actionable, and founder-friendly. Your work help lay the foundation for how future startups across the Nordics, and possibly beyond, integrate impact strategy into their core business.
- You’ll assist founders in understanding sustainability expectations, navigating early-stage ESG & Impact challenges, and co-creating simple, scalable impact strategies. Think; practical input on KPIs, diversity metrics, responsible AI use – and practical, founder-first playbooks.
- You’ll support VC funds through due diligence processes, build and verify emissions baselines for target companies, and turn ESG-speak into clear, actionable reporting that matters to LPs. Think: Scope 3 progress across PSV, tailored impact frameworks aligned with funds strategies, policies that make sense for early-stage investing, systems to track, aggregate, and improve both financial and impact KPIs - from first deal to exit.
- You’ll manage the backend of our ESG & Impact reporting process – collecting the right data, ensuring regulatory alignment (hello SFRD, CSRD and the Taxonomy), and improving how we use that data sheet to sharpen strategy and decision-making. Think: regular data collection, structuring, and analysis of ESG & Impact data – ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- You’ll assist in peer research on ESG regulation, impact trends, and responsible investment practices to keep PSV ahead of the curve.
What we think you bring
Let’s be honest we’re not hiring your CV. We’re hiring your brain. Your bias for action. Your “I haven’t tried it before, but I Googled it, or maybe more relevant, I asked the chat and made it work” kind of energy.
We want you who turns messy questions into clarity without asking for a 40-slide brief. The one who looks at a dashboard and thinks: Cool, but how does this help founders actually do better stuff?
We think this might look like:
- You’re a BSc or MSc student in something like data science, sustainability, innovation, economics, or something similar that sounds clever on Linkedin.
- You’re a student who flinches at the phrase “business as usual” and physically recoils when someone brings up CSR like it’s still 2006.
- You’re “structured”, “data-driven”, and “know your way around a spreadsheet (don’t we all, after crying over one too many Google Sheets?)
- You’re familiar with frameworks like the GHG Protocol and accounting, Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation, Taxanomy assessments etc. – aka the alphabet soup of sustainability.
- You’re a person who “cares deeply about people and planet” and dreams in systems-thinking slides
In fewer words, if you’re someone who can hold a climate report and a commercial mindset in the same hand, then we really want to talk.
We’d love to hear from you - even if you don’t tick every box. This is just our best attempt to describe the role realistically. We don’t care about traditional credentials if your drive and mindset are aligned. Sometimes, the right person is someone we haven’t yet had the imagination to look for.
