We are strengthening our US organization and recruiting a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). In this role you will support our newly established US operations in preparation for the upcoming launch of Oclaiz in Acromegaly, as well as Oclaiz’ future indication in Neuroendocrine Tumors. You will report to the US President of Camurus, based at the Carnegie Center in Princeton, NJ and be a key member of Camurus Inc. leadership team.
The HRBP will play a critical role in building and nurturing the people side of our organization. You will be responsible for handling all aspects of human resources, including processing payroll, managing employee benefits, overseeing benefit enrollment, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and working closely with our Swedish parent company.
We're looking for a driven, flexible, easy-going individual with startup experience who is excited to roll up their sleeves and make an impact across multiple HR functions.
The role:
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including managing employee timekeeping, deductions, and compensation.
- Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, etc.), manage open enrollment, and act as the main point of contact for all benefits-related inquiries.
- Oversee employee benefit enrollment processes, assist employees with plan selections, and ensure compliance with benefit regulations.
- Ensure proper state and federal registrations are maintained for the business, including tax filings, workers' compensation, unemployment, and other required filings.
- Work with leadership to define, foster, and maintain a positive, inclusive, and collaborative company culture that aligns with the company’s values.
- Act as the liaison between our US HR operations and our Swedish parent company, ensuring alignment of policies and procedures while managing any cross-border HR considerations.
- Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues.
- Support a variety of day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, recordkeeping, and general HR administration.
- Assist with HR-related projects as needed, including employee engagement initiatives, policy development, and organizational development.
Your profile:
We are looking for a colleague with a flexible, can-do attitude and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. Experience in a startup environment is highly preferred. You know how to work independently and be a self-starter in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. You have a proactive approach to operational HR duties, and you are comfortable working with an international team and understanding of cross-border HR matters.
An undergraduate degree and at least 3 years of experience in Human Resources, with a strong focus on payroll, benefits, and compliance is required. Strong knowledge of state and federal HR laws and regulations is a plus. Proficiency in HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
