If the answer is yes, we have an open position for you in the Communications team at the BioInnovation Institute Foundation (BII). At BII, we are looking for a new colleague, who will take lead on and execute all BII’s internal events and community building activities.
The Role
As our new Communication specialist, you will play a key role in leading BII’s event activities and foster a vibrant community around them.
You will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing our big strategic events such as BII’s Demo Day and Science Prize for Innovation as well as other strategic ad-hoc events with and to our most important stakeholders.
Working closely with various teams and departments throughout the organization, you will ensure alignment with the communication strategy, and that BII’s most valuable spokespeople are accurately represented in BII’s events. You will also often project lead external agencies, and it is therefore important that you can keep an overview of several projects at once.
Additionally, the specialist cultivates strong relationships within the community, translating feedback into strategic and operational community-building initiatives.
You will become part of a small communications team that works in a high pace and covers everything from PR to stakeholder engagement, web site, social media, internal communications, and events. It is therefore also imperative that you have a general interest in communications, and that you are not shy of stepping in to help your colleagues in PR, social media, internal communications etc.
You will
- Keep a comprehensive overview of all activities across event and community activities at BII.
- Act as main organizational contact for in-house events.
- Develop, plan, project lead and execute organizational events and community activities such as Demo Day, Science Prize for Innovation, Townhall meetings, Talks at the Square, political visits to our headquarters, community onboarding etc.
- Maintain and develop all organizational merchandise and ensure that this is strategically tied to BII’s vision and mission.
- Help communicate and promote BII’s event activities through our various communication channels, i.e. social media, newsletters, internal communication flyers etc.
Your Profile
We are looking for a team member with strategic and operational experience within event planning and project leading. You have a good understanding of what it takes to build a strong brand, and you are structured and solution oriented. You are a people’s person who are willing to engage yourself with internal stakeholders across the organization and BII’s community, and you have demonstrated experience within event planning.
Furthermore, we expect that you
- Have minimum of 3 years experience in event planning and execution.
- Have proficiency in Danish and English at a professional level, both written and spoken.
- Can pay attention to details in planning and executing, while maintaining an overview.
- Have an open-minded, dynamic and collaborative mindset.
- Are empathic with interpersonal skills that enable you to build strong relations.
- Are a strong and passionate team player and communicator.
