Scope:
Will be responsible for accounting duties for the Copenhagen Denmark Office under the direction of the US accounting function based in Celebration, Florida, reporting to theDirector of Accounting and Assistant Treasurer.
Staff Accountant
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet, sub-ledger, and general ledger accounts.
- Understand and handle different outgoing VAT setups within the EU and the rest of the world.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations, including internal controls over financial reporting.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Support month, quarter, and year-end close procedures.
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording invoices, bank deposits and other journal entries.
- Performing other accounting duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Has completed compulsory education and technical training in accounting and bookkeeping. University degree is a plus.
- Has minimum 3-5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Is proficient with accounting, Business Central or similar accounting/ERP software.
- Experience working with a US company a plus.
- Must be able to travel to the US offices 2-3 times per year.
- Must be able to be onsite a minimum of three days per week.
