Do you want a broad accounting role with significant responsibility and excellent development opportunities?
If you are an experienced accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership, working independently, and being part of a collaborative team, this could be exactly the opportunity you have been looking for.
At Gubra, we are experiencing continued growth and development. As our business expands, so do the opportunities for our employees to develop professionally and take on increasing responsibility. We are therefore looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team and contribute to maintaining a high level of quality, compliance, and operational excellence across our group companies.
In this role, you will become part of our finance function where teamwork, trust, and continuous improvement are highly valued.
A broad accounting role with responsibility across multiple areas
As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and controlling activities spanning day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end closing activities, reporting support, and audit preparation.
You will have ownership of your own areas while working closely with your colleagues in Finance. We take pride in supporting one another and working together to ensure successful month-end closings, reporting deadlines, audits, and daily operations.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash registrations, reminders, and communication with customers' finance departments
- Maintaining and managing the fixed asset register, including verification of physical assets and correct accounting treatment
- Handling lease accounting in accordance with IFRS 16
- Performing foreign currency revaluations on currency accounts
- Acting as system owner for Corpay, PLEO, and e-conomic
- Preparing statutory and regulatory reporting, including submissions to Statistics Denmark and other authorities
- Supporting colleagues with accounting- and finance-related questions
- Participating in month-end closing activities, reconciliations, and audit preparation
- Contributing to process improvements, internal controls, and finance-related projects
- Supporting ad hoc tasks across the group's legal entities
As you grow in the role, you will have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities and actively influence how we develop our finance processes and controls.
An experienced accounting professional with a proactive mindset
Naturally, we are looking for someone with the right professional qualifications. However, your approach to work and collaboration is equally important.
We are looking for someone who takes ownership, follows through on commitments, and enjoys working in an environment that combines structured routines with changing priorities and deadlines.
In addition, you bring:
- You likely have 5+ years of experience from a finance function where you have worked independently with bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial controls.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems
- A structured and detail-oriented approach to your work
- The ability to work independently and take responsibility for your areas
- A positive and collaborative mindset with a willingness to support colleagues across the organization
- Professional communication skills in both Danish and English, written and spoken
Experience from an international company with entities in multiple countries is considered an advantage, but not a requirement. Likewise, experience with Corpay, PLEO, and/or e-conomic is beneficial but not essential.
We are particularly interested in someone who is curious and analytical. You notice when something does not look right, investigate the underlying cause, and work proactively to find a solution rather than simply reporting the deviation.
Your new team
You will join a Finance team consisting of four colleagues, including yourself. We work closely together, share knowledge, and support one another in delivering high-quality financial operations.
The role can be structured as either a full-time or part-time position (32-37 hours per week), depending on your preferences and qualifications.
We look forward to welcoming a colleague who enjoys being part of a team while maintaining ownership of their own responsibilities.

We insist on doing things efficiently - and often differently - to reach the results we aim for. Our vision is to become leaders in the path towards a more sustainable and healthier world. We do that by facilitating the discovery of new medicine, and by acting and inspiring others to fight the ongoing climate and biodiversity crises.
Gubra’s activities are focused on the early stages of drug development and are organised in two main highly synergistic business areas: Biotech and CRO Services. We generate our revenue by performing research for life science companies as well as by partnering projects from our discovery and development pipeline.
Our therapeutic focus is within metabolic and fibrotic diseases, and we specialize in in vivo pharmacology, ex vivo assays, drug profiling, histology, stereology and whole brain and organ imaging. In addition, we offer a full palette of advanced transcriptomics. Our ML/AI-driven peptide drug discovery platform streaMLine enables us to rapidly develop a peptide hit into a non-clinical candidate ready for development. Through a constant focus on high quality, scientific excellence, speed, and solid teamwork we have established ourselves as a highly professional and competent partner in the market.
People are our greatest asset, and our team consists of around 320 employees of which many are located in Hørsholm, Denmark.
