The Team – Research & Development, Hillerød
We are a R&D team of very skilled colleagues with diverse backgrounds and competencies and with a passion for diagnostics in common. The variability of the tasks in our group is wide as we support all phases of development as well as maintenance once the product is on the market.
We are growing and are looking for two additional research scientists for our team. Both positions will be reporting to the Head of R&D Hillerød.
The positions - responsibilities
R&D Scientist 1:
- Together with the cross-functional project team, develop kits for diagnostics and for monitoring the effect of vaccines by being responsible for R&D deliverables in the project
- Planning of lab work together with our very experienced technicians
- Writing protocols, analyzing data and documenting conclusions
- Compliance: Ensuring that deliverables are in compliance with regulations (e.g., IVDR and ISO13485) and according to design control principles; from early design inputs to final verification and validation. Updating and generating R&D SOP’s (procedures and protocols) when needed.
- Support our existing product portfolio
- Support the R&D team in continuously improving our ways of working
R&D Scientist 2:
- Together with the vaccine team expand our business with vaccine developing companies and NGOs, by being “first mover” on high quality antisera
- Generate and analyze new anti-sera. Responsible for R&D deliverables for final product. Assess different analytical platforms for QC testing of vaccines.
- Planning of lab work together with our very experienced technicians
- Writing protocols, analyzing data and documenting conclusions
- Point of contact for external contract labs
- Compliance: Ensuring that deliverables are in compliance with regulations (e.g., IVDR and ISO13485) and according to design control principles; from early design inputs to final verification and validation. Updating and generating R&D SOP’s (procedures and protocols) when needed.

- Support the R&D team in continuously improving our ways of working

Professional Experience (both positions):
- Relevant academic degree within protein chemistry/immunology or microbiology (e.g. cand.scient, cand.polyt, pharmacist, or similar)
- Experience from
- Immunoassay design and development.
- Medical device or IVD industry
- Working with design control
- Fluent both oral and written in English
- Skilled Microsoft office user (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint etc.)
It is an added plus if you have experience in
- Characterization of antibody/antigen interactions (ELISA, IMMAGE, BIACore and the like)
- Vaccine development or clinical microbiology
- Beads-based immunoassays
