MedicQuant | Full-time | Aarhus-based, hybrid with weekly office presence
About MedicQuant
MedicQuant is a fast-growing diagnostics startup developing point-of-care technology that can deliver critical diagnostic answers within minutes. Our first product is focused on supporting faster treatment decisions in acute stroke care, where every minute matters.
We are looking for a structured and proactive business development profile to help us build the commercial foundation for launch and future growth. This is a hands-on role for someone early in their commercial career who wants to learn fast, work close to customers and partners, and get regular sparring from an experienced commercial lead and the founding team in a high-growth medtech environment.
The Role
As our Business Development Manager, you will support core commercial activities across stakeholder mapping, customer discovery, partner outreach, and early go-to-market preparation. The role is focused on practical business development execution and structured follow-up, not on specialist health economics, reimbursement, pricing, or sales leadership.
You will work closely with a strong commercial lead and have regular interaction with the CEO and founding team. You should enjoy practical commercial work, be comfortable reaching out to external stakeholders, and be motivated by learning how commercial launch preparation is built in an early-stage diagnostics company.
Key Responsibilities
· Support mapping and qualification of hospitals, clinical stakeholders, commercial partners, and other relevant market actors.
· Build and maintain structured stakeholder lists, outreach plans, meeting notes, and commercial pipeline overviews.
· Assist with customer discovery by engaging with clinicians, hospitals, procurement stakeholders, and potential partners to understand needs, decision processes, and adoption barriers.
· Prepare business development materials, including short market briefs, partner slides, meeting summaries, and follow-up material.
· Contribute to early go-to-market preparation, including target segment prioritisation, early adopter mapping, and launch readiness work, with guidance from the commercial lead.
· Help translate clinical and technical value into clear commercial messages for external stakeholders.
· Coordinate commercial input and follow-up with internal teams across R&D, clinical, regulatory, and leadership.
Your Background
· Typically 2-5 years of experience in business development, commercial development, consulting, strategy, medtech, diagnostics, life science, or another relevant field.
· Strong interest in healthcare, diagnostics, medtech, and commercialising new technologies.
· Eager to learn from experienced colleagues and comfortable taking responsibility for structured execution and follow-up.
· Able to structure information, follow up reliably, and turn discussions into practical next steps.
· Comfortable reaching out to external stakeholders and preparing meetings.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
· Analytical, organised, proactive, and comfortable working in an early-stage company where priorities evolve quickly.
· Experience with hospitals, clinical stakeholders, procurement, pharma, medtech, reimbursement, or market access is an advantage, but not a requirement.
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, life sciences, healthcare, engineering, or a related field.
What We Offer
· A hands-on commercial role in a fast-growing diagnostics startup with a clear clinical mission.
· Close collaboration with an experienced commercial lead and regular sparring with the CEO and founding team.
· The chance to learn how a commercial foundation is built from the ground up, including market maps, partner pipelines, stakeholder engagement, and launch preparation.
· Exposure across clinical, technical, regulatory, and commercial workstreams.
· A hybrid working model based from our Aarhus office, with an expectation of being physically present at least once per week and more often during onboarding, key meetings, or team workshops.
· Room to grow as MedicQuant scales.
Application process
The position will be posted during July and remain open until mid-August. We will review the full application field after the application period closes and will not assess applications on a rolling basis before then.
