About the Role:
In this role you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and evolving our hybrid infrastructure, supporting both on-premises and cloud environments. You’ll collaborate closely with our development and operations teams, ensuring seamless integration and continuous improvement of our systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize our hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises Windows Server 2022 and Linux (primarily Ubuntu), as well as cloud-based Microsoft 365 services.
- Oversee virtual environments (VMWare 8.03, Kubernetes with Rancher and Longhorn) and lead the planned migration away from VMWare.
- Manage network infrastructure based on Fortinet technologies (firewalls, core switches, access points, VPN) and secure our entire environment of both network, phones, and server.
- Ensure robust backup solutions using Veeam to local SAN and cloud, and maintain NetApp SANs for file shares and backup volumes.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Domain Controllers (hybrid setup with Entra synchronization), ensuring security and reliability.
- Mentor and guide other system administrators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on the infrastructure and related systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, with a focus on system architecture and design in hybrid environments.
- Strong proficiency with Windows Server, Windows 11, Linux (Ubuntu), and Microsoft 365 cloud services including Intune and security policies.
- Experience with VMWare, Kubernetes, ProxMox and SAN technologies (NetApp).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications, knowledge on:
- Network administration, preferably with Fortinet products.
- Backup solutions (Veeam).
- UPS solutions (Eaton).
- Other M365 services like Exchange, SharePoint, Teams etc.
- Life-science
On-Site Requirement:
This position is on-site, and the successful candidate must be able to participate in on-site interviews and work at the offices in our facility in Ølstykke.
