We are growing and looking for a Engineering Manager to join our Design Services at Innokas! If you have a strong background in engineering, leadership, or project management—and you’re passionate about driving your team to success —you might be the person we’re looking for.
In this role, you will act as a Head of Engineering, with a team of electronics and mechanical designers, focusing on developing and organizing the team's competencies. You will be responsible for resource allocation, steering both customer and internal projects, and enhancing our tools and working methods. You will work closely with other Managers and the Head of Design Services to ensure high-quality service delivery and continuous development.
The position is permanent and can be based in Espoo or Kempele
Your main responsibilities
- Project resourcing by allocating engineers based on project needs and coordinate external services
- Recruitment & onboarding
- Supervisory duties for your team of approximately 20 engineers
- Process, tool and competence development, Maintaining and improving competence-related practices, tools, and methods
- Project involvement with supporting and guiding customer projects when needed
- Internal and external communication with different teams and represent the company in events and professional networks
- Tracking key metrics and employee and customer satisfaction
What we expect from you:
- A degree in engineering or other relevant education, M.Sc., B.Sc., or equivalent
- Strong technical understanding
- Solid understanding of project management, business needs, and design service operations
- Strong experience in engineering and/or project management, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisor role
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills – ability to coach and develop people, drive performance, and collaborate across teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Fluent English and Finnish skills, both written and spoken
- Extensive knowledge of Medical & IVD device safety requirements is seen as a plus
