To further strengthen our ability to deliver innovative and cross-functional research and solutions to the drug discovery market, we are seeking a dedicated R&D Project Manager. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of cross functional projects, driving progress, and fostering innovation.
The role
Are you ready to lead development projects of highly complex instruments within the life science industry? As our new Project Manager, you will lead several projects within our R&D portfolio – all with the focus of developing and launching instruments and related consumables that will enable our customer to perform cutting edge research and high throughput screening within drug development.
Our instruments are complex and designed through collaboration between teams of specialists across disciplines of mechanics, electronics, software, microfluidics and biology. You will coordinate this process and you will need to use your technical background, rigorous structure and strong communication skills, to ensure a fast and aligned product maturation. When the technology is ready for you will also facilitate a smooth transfer to production, and thereby enable a rapid development cycle of our new and innovative products.
To excel in this role, you should have a solid project management toolbox and the ability to navigate complex project tasks and decisions in a dynamic environment. Collaboration across the organization is vital, so strong communication and networking skills are essential.
You will work closely together with a wide range of great colleagues and report to the R&D Portfolio Manager.

Main Responsibilities and tasks
Manage projects:
- End to end project responsibility - define, plan, and execute.
- Prioritize and schedule activities with project participants and stakeholders.
- Monitor and communicate progress, actively assessing risk, deliverables and timelines.
- Foster an innovative environment that empowers project participants to perform at their best.
Develop project models and processes:
- Analyze the current project execution landscape.
- Drive improvements in project management methodologies and practices.
Cross-functional collaboration:
- Coordinate seamlessly with operations, product management, and quality teams.
- Ensure smooth integration and launch of new products resulting from R&D initiatives.
Profile and key Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with technical and scientific insight and a passion for contributing to pharmaceutical research. You should be self-driven, results-oriented, and decisive, with the courage to lead and deliver impactful projects.
Education:
- M.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent technical education.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing dynamic and technically complex projects in a company. Minimum 5 years of experience with technical projects in a cross functional product development environment.
Skills:
- Structured, process-oriented, and innovative.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies.
- Strong team player with excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
- Ambitious, enthusiastic, and selfdriven, with a solution-focused attitude.
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with drug discovery processes, including high-throughput screening (384-format) and ion channel safety assessment, is a plus.
- Experience with laboratory automation, instruments and regulation is a plus
Language:
- Fluent in English with outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
Willingness to assist colleagues and seek help when needed comes naturally to you.
