About the Role
This role has the following responsibilities:
- This role will provide leadership support around Y-mAbs Strategic Planning Processes and Annual Financial Planning and Budgeting Processes
- Additionally responsible for FP&A Analytics, BD Support and Negotiation, and other Ad Hoc financial and analytical analysis
- In an effort to streamline our financial close processes, this role will have Lead Responsibility to work across the financial and business units to develop new systems and implement financial streamlined processes within the financial organization
- Partnering with the BU Leaders, this role will provide financial reports and updates for the Business Units at Y-mAbs and also work closely with the Project Management (PMO) around portfolio financial updates.
- Provide management reporting, including both leading and lagging KPI metrics to measure and advance the business as we try to drive operational efficiencies and effectiveness
- Manage all aspects of financial planning & analysis function including managing relationship across the organization, participating in on program and project teams, etc ….
- Managing various aspects of financial reporting and integration across Danish & US entities
- Partner closely with VP Finance/Corporate Controller and external service providers including PWC and outside consulting houses helping the finance team
- Be an outstanding business partner across functions and various operational groups
- Partner closely with Commercial Team including analytical group, etc … to help drive and achieve desired goals for commercial sales
- Work on ad hoc projects including managing insurance, working on streamlining SOX structure and requirements over the company, Proxy, etc …and other financial needs of the business as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Financial Responsibilities:
- Outstanding business partnering skills creating partnerships both within and outside of finance
- Lead and motivate direct and indirect reports through this position
- Outstanding technical accounting and FP&A skills
- Strong skills in FP&A, building our our FP&A platform (including Power BI and reporting), further integration and advancement of BC 365 systems and infrastructure for operational excellence reducing daily financial close activities
- Process focused to ensure resources are optimized and function grows with the operations
- Developing the Strategic and Financial Planning Processes at Y-mAbs and ensure that team meets deadlines associated with these
- Align reporting across the business as the company moves toward a two BU structure (around Danyelza and Radiopharmaceuticals)
- Close partnership with finance team, prioritizing process improvement initiatives and working with them to develop and implement system improvements
- Working with the team to prepare closing BVA’s and working with organization on reporting these out and managing follow-ups
- Lead Annual Operating Budget process and periodic forecasts
- Assemble monthly board reporting with financial results commentary
- Manage monthly business partner financial packages
- Working with financial closing team to manage other key financial reporting requirements
- Be a technical liaison for local, internal and external auditors to support SEC filings
- Be a subject matter expert for finance and pitch in to address various deliverables
- Be an outstanding business partner to CFO, CEO, and BU Leadership, and the rest of the Denmark and US based Executive Management Team and their departments
Position Requirements:
- The successful candidate will have good leadership and people skills and will be comfortable working at both a local (Danish) and international (US) level.
- Have good executive presence and ability to analyzie and communicate financial performance to the AC, Board, BU Leaders, CEO and CFO.
- The successful candidate will be an experienced senior finance professional, with international / US experience.
- Appropriate accounting and FP&A qualifications from one of the large Accountancy firms but has since moved on and has sufficient company experience to step into this role.
- Leader that is comfortable using initiative and can work under limited supervision commensurate to their level
- Technical and professional knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP, needs to be current and practical.
- Strong documentation skills to ensure closings, procedures and internal controls are documented as part of SOX compliance.
- Thorough knowledge and experience with internal controls and procedures in order to adapt design as business evolves and remediate control deficiencies, as needed.
- Maneuvers well to get things done; knows where to go to get what they need; organizationally aware and agile; knows the right thing to do; presents views and arguments well.
- Life sciences sector experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and experience of supporting other functions with reviews
- Sound business judgement, and the ability to provide advice and support to the CFO will be a key measure of professional credibility.
- Professional and effective line management skills are required, and the candidate should have experience of managing a comparable sized team.
- The successful candidate should be able to build good relationships within the US team and across the Danish team.

- Approximately 10-20% overnight travel
