Job description:
We’re looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to bring their experience and insights and spearhead the sales efforts for our exciting new automated microscopy platform.
Reporting directly to the CEO, it's a hands-on role where you’ll have overall responsibility for our sales activities within life science, including engaging leads, investigating and understanding customer needs, and negotiating sales terms. In doing so, you’ll need to make use of your commercial experience and domain expertise.
Initially, a critical aspect of this position will be developing the sales strategy and process given the current features of the products. However, with improved understanding of the customer needs, you’ll soon have the opportunity to shape the development and capabilities of the product. In time, we hope you’ll also play a decisive role in expanding and operating the sales and marketing team.

Key responsibilities:
- Identifying and engaging leads across our areas of domain relevance.
- Understanding the needs of customers, and how they relate to our product features
- Attending international conferences in order to obtain new sales leads and to gather feedback on our product and its marketing strategy.
- Generating and coordinating content for marketing material in collaborating with our testing partners and our business development team
- Provide technical product feedback to our engineering and sales teams so that they may improve the product’s performance and capabilities.
- Maintaining CRM and pipeline reports such that the commercial strategy may be continually optimized.
Preferred qualifications:
- A PhD or MSc in a life science discipline with experience in R&D environments.
- Commercial experience within technical sales
- Knowledge and understanding of light microscopy and its application to life science or biotech.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and our internal development team.
- Outgoing personality and an ability to maintain close customer relations.
- Aptitude for working with stamina and persevere in the pursuit of closing the sale.
- Able to work within a small team, having a “hands on” approach.
- Ability to bring structure and process to a work environment as the team and business grows.
- Fluency in English, additional Scandic languages are desired
- An open-minded and inclusive attitude.
