Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of photonics technology? We are looking for a talented photonics engineer to join our team in Lyngby, Denmark. As a key team member, you'll contribute to groundbreaking advancements in next-generation optical transceiver design.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test photonic integrated devices and systems for communication applications
- Perform simulations, experiments, and data analysis to evaluate the performance of photonics devices
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in photonics, and optical communication
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, conference presentations, and publications
- Participate in project planning, execution, and review meetings
- Design PICs using multiple foundry platforms
- Work closely with optoelectronic packaging houses resolving all DFM issues
Education and Experience:
- Master's or PhD in Photonics devices, optical communication, electrical engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in photonics research and development particularly PIC design
Skills:
- Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Ansys Lumerical, COMSOL) and programming languages (e.g., Python)
- Strong understanding of photonics design theory and optical communication principles
- Expertise in RF design using ADS or HFSS would be a plus
- Strong teamwork abilities, interested in working
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A good balance between attention to detail and ability to see the big picture
- Strong personal interest in building an optical interconnect product from the ground up
