We are seeking a talented and passionate In Silico Single-Domain Antibody (sdab) Research assistant to join our dynamic team.
Our team has recently developed an in silico pipeline for predicting nanobody structures, antigen binding, and affinity maturation. We are now seeking a talented individual to contribute fresh ideas and enhance this pipeline with additional data, taking it to new heights.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth literature reviews on sdab research, prediction tools, and docking tools.
- Propose and develop novel ideas to enhance our existing pipeline and strengthen our research efforts.
- Apply state-of-the-art antibody/sdab prediction tools (OmegaFold, AlphaFold3, IgFold, NanoNet, ImmuneBuilder, NanoBERTa-ASP) to predict sdab structures and compare with experimental data.
- Perform in silico docking using predicted structures of known sdabs and assess docking predictions based on specific criteria.
- Develop and apply an in silico pipeline for affinity maturation of sdabs, aiming to generate ultra-high affinity candidates.
- Document data and experiments in benchling and present findings.
- Collaborate effectively with students and interns, guiding their research and fostering a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- MSc in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
- Programming skills (Python, R, etc.) and experience with computational biology tools.
- Familiarity with antibody structure and function.
- Experience with in silico protein structure prediction and docking methods.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The position will be a one-year project-based position starting November 1, 2024, and ending October 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension
